Default Seat belt clips - just where are they to be mounted?

I got a pair of seat-belt clips from Classic Industries. These are to help you keep your seat-belts snapped onto the clip until you need them, preventing tangling. I believe they are to be mounted onto the floor console somewhere, but like every replacement part or accessory I've ever bought for this car, there are NO instructions for installation.

Does anybody know what the proper factory-correct location is, for these clips? Does anybody maybe have a photo to share of where they're supposed to be mounted?

Thanks!

They go in the center console in front of the lid. In the recessed area.

Ah-ha! Except that my center console doesn't have any kind of recessed area or pocket just ahead of the lid. I wonder if there is a retrofitted-insert to replace the flat panel just ahead of the lid?

Sorry bout that, only 68 and 69 had that console, 67 console was different and didn't have seat belt holders

Unless it's a mistake on their part, these seat belt clips are listed by Classic Industries as being for the '67 model year, so that's why I'd bought a pair. (Besides, I'm tired of laying my new front belts on the floor between the console and the seats)...

I just checked their site and it shows 68-69 only. I used to lay mine across console, hardly ever used clips

Here's what I ordered, straight out of the Classic Industries catalog:

1967 F-BODY CONSOLE SEAT BELT CLIP SET

Part # 391368

These console set belt clips are used to retain the seat belt buckle assembly when the belts are not in use. These clips attach to the side of the factory console. These exact reproductions die-stamped from steel and are triple chrome plated for a lustrous finish.

Fits: 1967 Camaro models

Yours must mount on each side since there are 2 of them. Look closely on side of your console and see if you can see any divots where holes might have to be drilled for clips. Most times the factory had some kind of mark for parts to be added on. Could be on inside also. I've never seen 67 with the clips

Yeah, I haven't seen it yet either, but I'm tired of laying my new belts across the floorpan.

Anyway, I checked my console and don't see any external markings or divots where they might be intended to go. I guess I'll just have to put them where I think they'd be most useful...

I would look inside console for some thing. Seems like they would have built up area for clips to mount cause I don't think the side would support clips being used all the time without cracking side.
