RS/SS Gas Cap

RS/SS Gas Cap
Hi all, just joined, I have a 1967 RS/SS.
Actually thought for the last 10 years since I've owned the car that it was just an RS but was told by my Grandpa that it's actually an RS/SS. My dad bought it in '77 and my Grandpa was telling me about the really cool gas cap that it used to have that was replaced. Apparently when my dad bought it, it had an RS/SS gas cap. Grandpa says he has never seen another like it.
So I searched google and called RicksCamaros, nothing.
Anyone ever seen one or have any idea where to get one?
Thanks for any help that can be provided!

I'm thinking false memory, never seen one that had both SS and RS on the gas cap. You might try Camaro Central for info. https://www.camarocentral.com/

The drive line, The SS engine is SS only. If it a numbers matching 350 or 396 its an SS. It would also have a heavy trans and a 12 bolt rear. There is no such thing as a 327 SS. It will also have the SS hood.
With RS/SS the SS overrides most of the RS badges. So where an RS says RS the RS/SS will say SS. My 67 RS/SS has no RS badges on it. Steering wheel, fenders even the gas cap say SS. Hideaway headlights are the quickest tell for the RS package. So if you see an all original car that looks like an SS but has hide away head lights its an RS/SS.
With the 67 there is a tag on the firewall right in front of the driver in the engine compartment. It has all the options listed in code for the factory installed options.
