Well done Steve, What a lot of younger guys don't realize is many of these cars still exist because people put more money into them then they where worth back in the 80's.
It annoys me when people pick a part some body work that was done back in the day. "Look he brazed that and then bondo-ed it". Well back then that Non-SS car was worth what? 3k going down the road? and a quarter panel still cost $1200 to replace without paint. His repair kept it out of the crusher. And I will bet he still had more money in it then it was worth at the time. The decision to build a car when there is profit on the other end is a business decision, the decision to build a car the way you want it regardless of the value is car guy thing.

Camaro resto
I own a restored by myself, 69 rs ss 427. I have done paint and body for 20 plus years. It took me and a few body guys at work about 20 months. I spent over 500 hrs on metal fab and paint and body.the paint I layed down on my Camaro our shop would have charged 8 to 10 grand. My Camaro is koenigsegg red. I actually ordered 2 gallons from Sweden. I have dart heads holly 850 comp cam ect. So I actually saved myself about 40 to 50 grand doing it myself and my buddies at work.
