Default Replacing Stereo in 68

Any suggestions for putting in a new deck without cutting into the dash or adding unnecessary holes (mounting underneath the original)? I am not interested in purchasing a custom deck made to look like the original.

This is what I currently have:

It looks like your metal piece on your dash was cut or mangled out of the way in order to make the current unit fit. Without some body work on the dash, an original may not fit just right. You won't know until you try, and going with an original style radio will only help you with both looks and resale value.

Best of wishes to you.

Keep it drivin...
