Rear suspension questions on my 68 12 bolt
Hello again, been awhile since I touched my 68 been busy on the custom getting it back together. I'm getting ready to get back on the 68 and do a wave of updates to the car and change the theme just a tad. Since I'm off enough to go 100% original, I'm going to do more of a day two style using only stuff available over the counter from 67-late 70. Basically since the car is a 327 car going more Z28 under the hood. But to my main questions
I know there was no factory rear sway bar offered in the first gens but there was one starting in 70. Could the 70 Z28 bar bolt on and work?
Also thinking if doing rear disk brakes but only if there is a original style kit that looks like the original heavy duty over the counter kit offered in 68-69 or uses corvette calipers if the same vintage.any ideas on the places to look for such kits? My go to places turned up empty.
Also my car has a little front sway bar, was the factory Z28 bar bigger?
I have planned a 140 cam, I already have the intake on the car, a correct looking 780 Holley, thinking about a correct set of the long tubes you could order in a Z28, ect. That's the plan right now.

so far no aftermarket kit looks right, so keeping the drums unless the I find one. hopefully sometime in april I can get the rearend out to have new gears, and posi put it. then reinstall it with new leafs. then I can flip the car around and start work redetailing and upgrading in the engine compartment

On rear brakes, you could buy two Gen III left hand brackets and rotors.
Drvr side caliper would be towards the front as pass side would be towards the rear to account for '68 staggered shocks.
Yes, Z/28 sway was larger in diameter, but, aftermarlet has bigger. Seventy's rear bar would need some innovation for installing.
You will like the 140 camshaft.

I'm trying to stay within a window of a few years on parts. I want the car to look 100% stock, but Im also staying away from parts that were not offered over the counter at the Chevy dealer up till about 1971.
