Racing Stripes?

Racing Stripes?
For the 1967 Camaro’s, were the racing stripes available on anything other than the Z/28’s?
For example, I have seen a lot of the SS/RS cars that have striping laterally around the hood, but have been unable to find an example of the racing stripes acuratly depicted on a SS/RS.

the stripes going up the hoods on Camaros, are Z-28 rally stripes. RS and SS Camaros have different stripes, although most people put the rally stripes on all the cars, and that's why I got rid of mine.
when people started putting them on almost every Camaro, never mind the import crowd, that's when I couldn't take it anymore (and mine were painted on, not just cheap stickers)

So, if it has the Rally stripes, AND they are original, AND it is a 1967 car, then it is a Z-28?
The reason that i ask is the car that I am trying to pick up was told to me as being an SS/RS, but it has the rally racing stripes and it has the SS emblems. With out seeing the tag info, I am only assuming, but I believe the ar to be an original as it has sat in a garage for the past 25+ years gathering dust (and God's know what else...)

honestly......you need to get a lot more info about the car, besides a paintjob, before you can even begin to find out what the car really is.
I've seen too many people get screwed because they didn't do all the proper research before hand
there is actually a member on this forum that got screwed, as he was sold a 1979 Camaro under the belief that it was a 1970, just because someone changed the nose. you have to be careful

'67 Z28's are pretty rare, according to the book I have only 602 were produced in '67 compared to 7199 in '68 and 19,024 in '69.

I knew the number was 602 for the 67 Z28's, so I am thinking that is not what it is, but there is always a possibility.
Anyways, I am heading down there in a few weeks and will take LOTS of pictures, and get your guys thoughts on it
