Default Pypes Exhaust

I am considering the 2.5 inch Pypes Exhaust system from Summit Racing with the Race Pro mufflers.

I currently am running 3 inch pipes from the long tube headers to some turbo mufflers and a 2.5 inch tail pipe dumping behind the rear axle.. I am not happy with the sound or the fitment of the current set up. I am bottoming out over the smallest dip or speed bump. (stock suspension) I think the 3 inch pipe is not allowing the mufflers to tuck high enough into the floor pan area.
Does anyone have the Pypes system, and if so how is the clearance and sound?
I would like a system that sounds good, but not too loud or droning in the interior at cruise speeds..According to Pypes website the Race Pro is their quietest muffler...

The price seems to be right at $339 for a stainless system with an X pipe...

I think that you have the right idea about going to 2.5 in exhaust. But if you do decide to keep the 3 in. you can bow the pipes that you currently have to take away that bumping and rubbing. I have 3 in but it is for a 427, however I still had the same problem that you have with the clearance.
