Looking good! I remember doing that!

Now's a good time to take the windows out and clean the clay like grease out of the window cranks so they'll operate nice and smooth again!

haha one step ahead of you! We ran into a bit of an issue with the windows..... the plastic "rollers" that guide the window as it travels up and down seem to be a bit worn. There is a bit of play in them and the rear quarter window binds a bit when trying to roll it down around the halfway mark. Any suggestions?

Mine was slightly worn and was binding about halfway too because the 40 + year old grease hardened inside of it like clay and the wheel wasn't rolling at all which started to wear the roller flat. Honestly, I didn't think they were supposed to roll when I first took the register out and started cleaning it. I spent a lot of time just soaking the plastic wheel with everything from carb cleaner (worked the best) to pb blaster until it freed up and started to role. I was pretty obsessive about it until the race was spotless and I was able to spin it smoothly and easily. Then I just greased it back up really well and it seems to be working fantastic.

The only thing I can say, is if the roller spins freely and easily and is well greased and it's still binding, then I'd say you've worn too big of a flat spot in it and you'll have to find a replacement.
