Got 327 long block, trying to prime with priming tool. Has oil and when spinning clockwise oil poors out of oil filter sides. Oil filter is tight and has proper adapter from Camaro Central parts. The adapter bolts do look a little big on the bolt size, like it coud restrict the oil filter from completly sealing but I'm not sure of that.
This is my first build, please help. Anything is appreciated very much.

That's what it sounds like. The factory adapter bolts are a small diameter head type, are yours? If the base of the filter is bottoming out on the bolts, you should be able to see scrape marks after you take it back off.

 

Thanks, I'll get a better look at the filter and also have my son check it out to verify. Your photo looks like my garage. I have a 67 Camaro, 77 vette and a 70 Mustang as projects.
