Default Pre purchase vehicle inspection

Hey everyone, I'm interested in purchasing a no stories 69 dz 302 with cross ram and chambered exhaust with as much docs as possible. I was looking for advice about a Camaro expert in the business of assessing these cars both to spot the fakes and test drive. Appreciate it.

If you are talking about buying a numbers Real matching 69 Z28 it should already be authenticated. If it is not but you still feel sure its real spend the money to get it authenticated before you buy it. I have not kept up with the market like I use to but I would guess and authenticated 69 Z is 80-140K. 80K would be poor condition or a amateur restoration. A nice survivor would be the top price. Since these car are so valuable and most of the original owners have past away I would think that most real Z have been authenticated. Your research should be into who is a really good authenticator. They should also stand behind their authentication. Carful even the authentication document are faked these day. Any authentication company should have records, give them a call.

IMO for ever one real numbers matching 69 Z there are Two fakes. No one can help much over a post on s forum Professionals have written books on how to a Authenticate cars but the guys building clones have read those book. With the cars being worth north of 100k there is nothing that can not be faked. Nothing on the car and nothing in the documentation. You need a pro to Authenticate these car and to even evaluate the quality of repairs/restoration. Even on a restored car there variation on on to what level the restore was done to. A real concord restoration can cost 100,000K But Joe down town can do it for 30K, Same car would have two very different values even if they where both numbers matching. In fact the 40K restoration could be worth less then the car was worth before restoration. 98% of the people out there would have a tuff time telling the two cars a part.
