Very cool. Sure beats floor jacks. Might want to consider how to reinforce the two ceiling trus's.Pre-drilled angle ironmaybe spanning top plate to top plate and then some 3/8"x2" wood lag bolts connected to side of trus's@ 18" apart?

I should mention that the ceiling trusses run lengthwise inthe garage, therefor each 4 x 4 is attached to7 different trusses, giving plenty of suport without having to worry about the ceiling coming down on my head.

7 trusses I think is plenty good. Great idea though. Your ceiling is higher than mine. Im sureI can something work. I"ll tell the wife it's for an industrial strenght clothes line.

My boss had an idea of getting two harbor Freight Engine stands and making one out of those. It sounds like a good idea to me, but I'm not sure if I could do the 4x4 thing...I'm sure it'd bring the house down...
