Part interchangeability
Does anyone know or wanna share some tricks of the trade? I know I can get alot of bolt on kits for my 1967. But if I break down I wanna be able to go to a local parts store as much as possible. Will any parts from other GM makes bolt on like ie, brake booster, power steering gearbox, calipers, etc.

There are the obvious common parts and cars within GM that share the same steering boxes, such as 1st gen Camaros and Firebirds. Some Nova parts will also interchange with Camaros. A good auto parts store can look up a part for your '67, and then through reverse search tell you what other makes and models share that same part, if you're planning on searching for a used part. If you're looking for new there's no shortage of parts that are for a 1st gen Camaro, so no need to substitute.

Yeah, I know there are plenty of aftermarket replacement parts out there. A friend of mine says that he's seen an iroc gearbox on a 67, just can't find out anything about it. I'm not cheap, just want to find frugal upgrades for now until I can buy all the kits I want.

If by "gearbox" you mean the steering box, then yes you can use a later steering box. It gives the added benefit of quicker ratio lock to lock also, which is the main reason for swapping it.

I wish I knew exactly, but I know that you can convert your front spindles to accommodate disk brakes from a few of the early 70's GM cars. Poke around and I'm sure you can find it. It might save you some money if your willing to go find your front disk brake conversion in some junk yard somewhere and just buy new rotors and calipers.
