I am learning about the car I just bought. It's a 1969 pacecar that I got from the original owner. I love it. It needs a full resto. I have some questions. Is the front bumper supposed to be white or chrome. It looks like the original bumper and its chrome. Also, the original steering wheel is gone. Is it supposed to have the black two spoke "SS" wheel or the wood rimmed one? Do the stripes come all the way to the edge of the hood and trunk or do they get rounded off near the edge? It runs and drives fine, but needs cosmetics. I have always had Fords and Shelbys and am unfamiliar with Chevys. Thanks for the help.

It looks like stripes go straight off the end of the hood and trunk. I can't tell about the cowl area. Steering wheel?

 

The hood stripe runs up into the curved vent area of the cowl. It doesn't run straight up to the windshield trim. The steering wheel? Pace car pics show the woodgrained one.
