Hi all, looking at purchasing a 68 which they say is all original paint...... The door striker/pins on the b pillar have body colour paint on them. I questioned about this and was assured that they are painted from original. Is this correct.?
Normally these are fitted after the body is painted.

Appreciate your help, don't really want topay original price for a restro.

How about a picture of the area your concerned with?

 

On door latch, usually the boltheads are not painted, neither is the latch itself and striker post not painted.
68 would also have a blue GM sticker about an inch square.

 

Thanks for the replies. I chose not to buy this one as there were a few things that I was unsure of, like this paint question.
