Sadly the inspection plate is no guarantee you have what it says. Today it takes hours to authenticate any car and unless you have the original owner with the original paper work its difficult if not next to impossible.. Forgery and fraud really run rampant in the industry today.. Everything can be duplicated and reproduced today it just takes a little money.. If your going to drop a ton of money on the car it pays to get a professional to inspect it and verify the authenticity of a 1968 Camaro Z28 numbers matching... But even then its no guarantee that what the seller says is what it is.. Not every seller is trying to cheat anyone but they may have been told something was a fact but it is not upon critical inspection..
