Default New to forum, question about a 69 purchase

Hello all, I am new to the forum. I have a question a purchase opportunity on a 69 Z-28. I have no pictures but here is the skinny on it. Its a 69 z28, code X77. It has the original have been removed for some reason. I went over this car with a fine tooth comb. Never any metal work done on this car at all, original pans, original 4 speed Muncie, rear end. Dash had been cut for aftermarket gauges. Dent in front fender where a lawnmower hit it, some surface rust on it. was repainted back in the late 80s to a different color. Has been sitting in barn for 6 years, original rims. would rate the

If it truly is a Z28, than it's not a bad deal.
However, I am always skeptical when I hear z28... their are more 69 Z's out there than were ever made.
Just make sure that the trim tag is not a fake and that all the numbers line up.

Based on your description, $12k is a steal. Check the numbers on the block to see if it matches the car's VIN. If it matches, that engine means everything to the car. The heads and intake are incidentals that can be replaced with correct ones, if a complete numbers matching engine is important to you. Camaro Decoding help on Chevy-Camaro.com
