I also think it's no big deal to make it what you want, or to give it whatever badging you want. There's way more Z28's on the road than Chevy ever made, so badging it with whatever badge is fine, as long as you're honest when someone asks about it's origins.

 

thanks 71 bigblock...it's actually kind of free-ing having a no-frills straight 6 car...if it was a real SS or Z I'd feel pressure to restore it back to factory original. Being sort of a "nothing" car lets me make it whatever I want.

 

well i have a 66 ss impala ( real ss ) and a plain 68 camaro it is what it is ,i am who i am and so are my cars enjoy what ever way you go

 

Thanks for all the responses guys. I think I have a pretty good plan in place now....it'll basically be an SS, but I'm not gonna badge it that way. It'll have a hodge-podge of emblems and "options", but true to me and itself!

 

Post up some pictures once in a while so we may see how you are doing.
