Default need help in power steering kit

can anyone suggest what is the best power steering kit on the market for my 67 camaro with a small block v8. the car used to have a 6 cylinder on it but its gone now. the power steering gearbox is still present but its too rusty. i prefer to buy a new power steering kit since its more convenient.

i came across this on the web and its cheap. is this good?

That kit is made for converting manual steering to power steering.
You already have power steering, so why choose that kit?

Personally I would go with a known quality steering box with modern internals;
such as AGR, Lee Mfg., or Delphi 600. That way you get the steering feel of a modern handling car.
You may be sorry later if you "cheap out" on the box.

I upgraded my 69 Camaro with a used fast ratio steering box from a 1989 IROC Z28 and
it was one of the best upgrades that I have done to the car so far.

I would stay away from the 605 boxes they do not correct themselves when coming out of a turn (straighten out)like almost every other box in. Almost put a 55 Chevy in a ditch when the wheel never corrected it has a 605. I heard some there is a 700 something box out of a later gm product that is really good and self corrects like most boxes

How about a rack and pinion. I'm about to purchase a Flaming River Kit that is suppose to handle very well.

When I re-do the front suspension on my 69, I'm going to be putting in rack & pinion steering. Mine has manual steering now, and will still be manual with r&p. Power steering is for sissies anyway!
