Need help identifying an engine in a 68 Camaro (RS/SS clone)

Oh, so I didnt follow up with you guys on my test drive. I will skip some of the nonsense that happened & well, it rode well on the street, the suspension felt good & it was fun to drive.
I did feel it was a bit slow. My friend said maybe it didnt have a kickdown cable (did they have them) & that I could have manually downshifted from 3 to 2 for the 'burst' of speed I was looking for.
It certainly felt like it was geared to have no problems on the highway. I just was expecting more of a burst of speed from it. It was a pretty tame V8.

Keep your eye on this one on ebay to see what the buying public thinks about the value. If the one you're looking at really is worth 22k, then this matching #s SS 350 should fetch the buy it now of 25k. Chevrolet : Camaro Chevrolet : Camaro | eBay
