I would Check with Stencils & Stripes .They have kits to do such things .I used a 1970 1/2-3 stripe kit on my 1979 Z-28 .And it turned out great.Good luck to you.

The only reference I've seen to measurements for the nose stripe are in the 1967 Assembly Manual and I've attached that page to this post. The illustration gives the spacing and width of the stripes along with the set back from the nose. Something I've noticed on a lot cars today is a lack of attention to the way the stripe should finish wrapping under the headlight toward the front valance seem. When it is not done correctly, I feel it sticks out like a sore thumb and ruins the factory looks. I would agree that using a stencil would be the simplest method and most accurate way to recreate the stripe and if the measurements given in Assembly Manual were used to position the stencil, you could a achieve a finished product as close to a factory stripe as possible.

FWIW when I discussed bumble bee stripe with my body shop they told me "just give us dimensions, not a template"....so discuss with your shop
