..can someone tell me what the prices on the NADA list represents..are they prices a dealer would ask for..they seem to be way above the normal price a private seller is asking for..Thanks

 

I believe that is what the car actually sells for.

 

Generally, its "full retail price," taking into consideration what the car would sell for with at a dealer with things like new tires, full detail job, scratches and dents repaired, fresh oil change, mechanical inspection, etc. Basically looking brand new again. Private party value, usually takes into account things like minor blemishes, tire wear, etc. Thats where the difference comes in.
