Default Looking for my father's 1968 RS/SS NEED HELP!

Hey how's it going everyone, im new to the forum and this is a long shot I'm hopeful. Back in 1975 my father purchased a 1968 RS/SS camaro 350 automatic brown exterior with black vinyl top with a factory posi. Black and white hounds tooth interior with ac radio power windows hideaway lights. When he bought the motor and trans were gone. Unfortunately he never went and picked the car up because he worked 4 full time jobs and went to school. but once he got around to it . It had been stolen. He has the title that was never put in his name but none the less the owner had signed it and so did my father as a matter of fact I'm looking at it right now. Here is the vin 124378L306975. This was in Las Vegas nv. Any info anyone can give me about maybe where to go what to do to find it would be very helpful and I would greatly appreciate it. Even if it's in a junkyard or already stripped and crushed. Thankyou for your time

I wish you luck in finding you father's car.
I doubt that you will ever hear about it or locate it, but miracles do happen

Was the car reported stolen to the authorities at the time, and they were of no help? It may have been taken for parts, or the VIN tag swapped from a different Camaro onto his. Back then, practices like that weren't as closely scrutinized as these cars weren't valuable collectibles. Even into the early 80's it was still just another car.
I may be able to help by doing a VIN trace, it's not a free service though, unless it's a no hit. You may only find out that your dad was the last one to have it registered, which won't help you find the car. But if it's currently registered in someone else's name, they'll have some explaining to do to the law.
