Default Looking for this chassis 124378l324481

Hello All,
I am a U S Marine currently stationed overseas. I am due to retire in about a year and a half and would like to locate my old '68 Camaro. The VIN is
124378L324481.

If anyone knows where this car is, please contact me.

Welcome to the forum. I checked my car and it isn't the one you are looking for.

Thanks guys for checking your cars.
The last time I saw the car it was white and was in Ohio in 1995...Seneca county area.
The car had a bench front seat and a powerglide at the time. Would have been missing all of the sheet metal from the doors forward and had a small block in it.
Originally the car was a three on the tree and the nub was still on the column. The car had A/C from the factory and single leaf springs as well.

Thanks again for everyone who is checking their cars! I have checked the national camaro registry and it is not listed with them so I have posted something on several sites (here, camaros.net and CRG)

Might try Team Camaro too. It's mostly a 1st gen site.

Thanks for running the VIN. I had actually tried that myself. I am making little progress on this, but all the help I am getting means a lot to me. It is nice to see that the community is so close-knit.
One of they owners on TEAMCAMARO has actually contacted Ben Schetter's widow and daughter and they don't recall the car, but he is waiting to hear from the son who may have some information.
I will keep everyone posted on any progress that is made and have plans to start a website for the car's resurrection should I ever actually find and acquire it.

Thanks again for all the support and help

Default closing in...

Hey guys! It seems I have located the last known owner of the car and it is only 33 miles from the last place I saw it! My buddy ran the VIN through the national registry and found the last known registration details. Seems the car was on the road as recently as 2008 and registered in Findlay Ohio. The owner has a listed number in the white pages.
My buddy gave him a call and had to leave a message. I am now playing the waiting game to see if he calls back and if he does, if he still has the car...
Wish me luck and I will keep everyone posted.

Craig
