I've always wondered why people put cars in the middle of fields like that. A psychologist would have a "field day" studying that form of human behavior.

I saw the same situationwhen I was a kid back in the late seventies - a '71 Corvette convertible sitting in the front yard of some old lady's home. Year after year, I watched it sink a little further into the earth. One day, I knocked on the door, and this tiny woman comes out and says that the car is her son's, and that he drives it all the time. O-kay, then! Her son was actually in prison, apparently for a long, long time. Delusional.

my grandpa has a convertible impala sitting in a barn in the dalles up here in oregon. It's just a shell, but hey, its a 59 impala convertible, extremely rare. He also has the last year convertible vette in his garage. It's under a tarp with tool boxes sitting on the hood. [:@] it's been sitting like that for about 20 years.

There's a 1st or 2nd gen red firebird laying in the grass down the road. I don't know anything about birds, but it has what looks like a shaker scoop and side vents on the fenders. The grass is very tall around it, so I only saw it exposed during the winter. There's so many cars laying around near me that it's funny.

 

wow and its fun trying to find them around here. I would love to have some of those that are sitting around. My body guy is looking for some project cars for a customer
