Hi there. I new to the forum and could use some advice. I've got a 69 project car. It came as a basic 6 no power steering or brakes but I plan to change all that.

The body was has been started. New rear quarters and tail pan have been put in. The floor and trunk where good. I need to re-skin one door. My problem lies with after market fenders. The guy from the body shop tells me to get NOS or rust free original fenders. ( of course he would) I can get after market fenders tomorrow so we finish this up. Can someone tell me a good brand to get and the ones to stay away from. Thanks for your help.

The guy at the body shop knows what he is talking about because new metal does not fit like original metal does. As far as what brand to buy, they are all pretty much either goodmark or dynacorn just depends on what supplier is selling them as to how much you will pay. Do not mess with re-skinning the door, big P.I.T.A. get you a new one.
