My wife used her high school graduation money ($900) to purchase this car in 1974. She is the 2nd owner, the original owner was the wife of the owner of the Chevy dealership. That's me playing Santa at Christmas time.
An absolute beauty. and for that price she paid, you couldn't get 4 rims and tires for her at that price.!!! I am sure the motorheads in your neighborhood prefer horses under the hood to reindeer!!!
I used to have two first gens back in the early to mid 70's. The first gens were always my favorites and afterwards I've had a few Corvettes as I still have several today. I'm thinking of getting a '69 Z/28 as I really miss driving one. Here's a few pics of my two '68 Camaros from way back. 1968 Z/28 RS with Cragar mags and L60s on back. For a while I drove the Z/28 RS in the summer and the 327 2-bbl powerglide in the winter July 4th 1976 celebrating with a flag on the antenae I was working Chevy parts when I stopped home for lunch with the company truck full of body parts for local shops.
It’s great to know the entire history from the lot in 68 to my garage in 2016. Original color repainted once in 2016. Original interior.
68 Base but motor and tranny swap in 2016 when we redid it. It’s a shame I rarely drive it.
427 small block. Tremec 6 speed trans, Working ac and power everything. Windows, door locks. Sequential tail and brake lights. Custom cloth interior, no hot leather to burn your legs in the summer.
