The wife wanted a car to cruise in Saturday nites and do a Route 66 trip. Drug this one out of a barn in several pieces. Just finishing up the Old Air A/C and some interior work and we're off to see the wizard.

LMAO..I have also just asked the previous owner via email I am waiting on an answer? I think it is a water by pass?. I should have the car next week with any luck. It has a new Shafiroff 434ci backed up by a turbo 400 trans, I may put in my 540 Big Block? This is an X11 Camaro which may not really mean much other than an original V8 car. I am Looking forward to getting back in the Old School American muscle scene. I have Been in the newer muscle cars C6s and currently have a 630hp Cadillac CTS V. I see a lot of really nice Camaros on this site. Look forward to being part of the family.

lol, I know what was done, just wanted to hear you say it. When the heater core is taken out of the line, the "easy" thing to do is form a loop with the heater hose. The owner of your car really went out of his way to re-do the loop. You can pull that line, and the fittings off the intake and water pump, and cork the holes with plumbing plugs. That's not a bypass, and has no effect on the cooling system one way or another.

See you explained it better than me. I just wanted to see why the current owner installed it that way? Looks goofy and out of place to me.

One of my Camaro's, a '69 SS clone with 010 350 block with not very good heads, M21 4 speed, 3:55 12 bolt posi. I'm the second owner and bought it in 1975. It now has over 300K miles on it and is a two time AACA National first place winner. I'm currently trying to get my other one done ('69 RS/SS 350, 4 speed M22, 4:10 12 bolt posi # matching) that was left to me by my best friend of over 20 years that passed away of cancer.

It's still old school with the hood down.
