Default I'm New

I've had my 1968 Camaro since 2005. My dad and I did all of the work on it. At first we were just going to do a few things but as you all know that's impossible. My first engine a 383 Stroker 450 horse. The guys who built it put the pistons in on the wrong sides. We never noticed until of course after the two year warranty when the engine gave out. We were so mad, how could a performance engine shop do something like that. We put a Ram Jet 502 in and, well I'm not mad anymore. 502 Horse 565 Torque. I also have Air Ride on all four wheels.

Pretty sweet ride!!! Got a couple of questions for you what is your rim and tire size combination both front and back. And are you running stock springs or lowered springs in both front and rear. The reason I am asking is I am going through the suspension phase of my build up and liked how yours sits.

Very nice ride. Since you and your dad did all the work you definatly have something to be proud of.

What work did you end up doing to the car? Going from a 383 to a 502 I hope a suspension upgrade was in there somewhere

Wheel and Tire size

18 by 8 Rear on 245/45R18
17 by 7 Front on 225/45R17
I have Air Ride Suspension on all four wheels. Independent Air shocks that replace all suspension(no more leaf springs, traction bar, coil springs or shocks)

No it's actually air shocks. Air bags are used to lower your vehicle. Air shocks replace the entire suspension act as shocks and springs all in one.

I know what air bags do...LOL!!

I was just kind of thinking with the car sitting so high, it must have been on the bags and they were just pumped up for the pictures. is it actually an AirRide product? maybe their Shockwave system?

the reason I ask, is because there is a lot of junk out there from second rate companies, and I've seen some people do some pretty crazy things by putting regular air shocks in their cars. you know...the kind that you fill up with a regular airhose off of a compressor

good choice of products. I assumed that (which I hate to do) because of the work that you have obviously put into everything else. I still wonder why the car sits so high though? front looks a little high, and it almost looks like the rear is raised over 3"?

I see you're in Oklahoma... Is that the Expo Building you showed the car in?
