Default ID differential
I need help identifying the differential on the 1968 Camaro I’m restoring. I know it’s a ten bolt GM from the CB G256 stamped on the passenger side, forward axle shaft. What I would like to know is what year. This was a drag car sometime in the past and this rear end might not be original. Can anyone obtain information from this casting number? N1285542

Probably the quickest way for results would be to just call your local GM dealer. If they are anything like mine they would be happy to do it for you
