Default I NEED SOME HELP

I found a Camaro in Japan that I really want to bring back to the states. I am not sure of the exact year or even if the numbers match. It needs quite of bit of work but it looks pretty good. Dose anyone know the exact year model and how much should be my max offer for this car?

Looks like a 69. There is a little plate under the hood, on the cowl near the power break system. That will tell you a bunch of info. It look like, from the lights that it might be an RS with out the light covers. Is it a vert? or just the vinyl cover on th roof? Is there an asking price? I would start from there and try to work my way down. Also these cars, in good shape can go from 10- 13 grand all the way up to 40 and 50. Its all about what you are willing to pay.

It's a 68 - but you really need to get all the numbers off of it so you can decode it, also get it on a lift to look underneath. Have you checked into shipping cost to the states? Cause if it's not truly unique that would definitley play a part in a figure i'd feel comfortable with.

yep a 68 , you must be rich or in the military. Car looks good how much do they want, and make sure there isn't a family stuffed into the trunk tryin to get to the US. if so then you should get a better deal.

You seem to be posting fine. Is there a specific problem with posting. Military? PCS move? where you going if so. What other help did you need?

I also have a Question concerning 1st. generation Camaro's. There seems to be so much after market stuff available that it has to be remanufactured. These cars are 40 yrs old. What I'm wondering isif there is any differance between the new fenders being offered in the after market and the old stuff. Is it worth trying to save an old set of fenders? The cost seems to be about the same. Surely they are all using GM diesto reproduce them.

Just click on the Camaro Forums at the top of the page, after that pick a section, at the top you'll see a new post ,just click that. https://camaroforums.com/forumid_220/tt.htm . for the fenders you want to get some that have a good yoclass. try http://www.yearone.com/
or http://www.goodmarkindustries.com/HomePage.htmlthey are well known for good parts. there are a ton others.

The biggest problem is that there simply isnt any more nos body parts redilly available. So companies have put together a parts list and as best they could recreated the parts. You might have to do some grinding and 'massaging; of the metal to get them to work. If feesable try and save the old ones, they fit better. However, rust is a cancer and will come back to haunt you. Good luck.
