Default Hood Latch

I decided to remove the front bumper...for a while anyway. Kind'a looks madder & badder. I see a lot of guys going w/out, so I'm wondering if theres a latch arm or a modification that's not so obvious?

You could cut the arm shorter, then you'd reach up into the valance opening to get to it. If you put the bumper back on, I don't know if you would then be able to fit your hand/arm far enough into the gap between the opening and bumper to reach the rod.

yeah, that would be easy but I'd have to weld arm back together when i decide to put the bumper back on. Not a problem but I was hoping someone had a clever hidden latch system idea I could fabricate. I was thinking a cable pull or something. I'd remove the arm all together.
