HI all. I知 being quoted 25 hours to install a Holley efi and fuel return on my 69 camaro. Does this sound about right? I知 reading the fuel return take some time. The unit is about $1900 Canadian and about the same for install. Ads up

 

Seems high, but not clear on what needs to be done. If you converting over to a complete EFI system from a carbureted, then yes. Lots involved if your upgrading other than just changing out the intake system. Have to think about fuel lines, custom linkages, vacuum system, fuel pump, wiring.... Same if your just swapping out the carb, but get a list of changes and you might get a better understanding of the scope of work and the time it takes.

 

This is not normal work you can look up a time for, Every shop is going to quote at different hours and how the install is done will effect the price. I watch the guys from Road Kill install a kit in 2-3 hours in the parking lot. (installed or temporarily slapped in you pick the words) Even something how the fuel lines are run can make a huge difference on how long the job takes. You will find shops out there that would rather not do this type of work but like to say they can do anything. So they just over quote the job so you will take it someplace else, You want to start at hotrod shops cause this should be their bread and butter.
