Help on where to find underbody cleanup posts

Good day everyone,
So my project has stalled for 3 years now. 1968 Camaro restoration. I got it back from the painter 3 years ago. I stripped it down to a rolling Chassis.
New years resolution is to get going again. I stripped off all front end components and dropped the sub frame off to be sand blasted and powder coated. For the next 2 weeks, my goal is to cleanup firewall and repaint. (Almost done stripping it down) As i get low, I am thinking that I should clean up the underside of the uni-body. Here lies my issue. I want to make it look nice and also understand its going to be a workout. I have stripped off rubber before with a small torch on low and hit it with a putty knife. Question....... How clean will I have to get the metal and what do I put down after it is stripped down. I am not a painter so I don't really know. Obviously I am looking to do a nice job and still progress along.
Thanks to anyone willing to chime in.

you can sand blast or use a cup brush on a grinder.
it has to be CLEAN IF YOU WANT PAINT TO STICK
mine had no undercoating, so I laid on my back with a pressure washer. then I think I used maybe 8 cans of rustolum

Thats what I was assuming. It’s definitely not an easy job. I’ll scrape and then wire wheel it with the grinder. I was hoping there was a good coating that would go over a scraped undercoating.

Just clean it up real well then get a number of cans of undercoating,
