Cool Help with dash lighting problem

I have a 68 camaro convertible and my dash lights don't all work.
the generator light and directionals are the only bulbs working.
the rest dont light up, all bulbs work because i switched them into the gen and directional sockets and they light when in there. Does anyone have any sugguestions as to what else could be the problem or what can i checkout next.

Thanks
Ted

Do you have voltage to the sockets? Is the ground strap grounded (metal strap on the top)? Have you tried rotating the headlight switch (maybe the dimmer is gummed up)
