Default Help

Hello my name is Steve and I need help. I am the proud owner of my dream car a 1969 camaro. The only problem I am having is I am not sure if the rear-end has been cut down. I bought this car about 3 week's ago and it has a mini tub under it I just don't know if the axles have been cut down. I was wanting to know if anyone here knows the stock length of the rear end in a 1969 camaros are. Then I can take my own measurement and see whT I got. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guy's for whatever reason I just couldn't find a straight answer on this. Now with the sights you brought to my attention I am certain that my rear-end has been cut down. I am measuring from one end of the axle tube to the other 54 1/2 inches. And that's a good thing. One last thing I have to deal with. I am building this car for my son who is only 9 as we speak. The block is in the shop getting reworked to become a 496 big block. Should be a fun car when it's done. Thanks again for the info.

If it has an alum cover with TA Performance cast into it, its an aftermarket cover.
Their deal was an extra quart of lube and more cooling.

I would love to keep the rear-end but I am not sure if it will handle the abuse that this engine will put on it.
