Hello & Introduction
Hello CF Fans. Just wanted to jump in and join the discussions. I have owned my '67 RS convertible for 23.5 years now and I have just started the restoration process. It is not a numbers matching car, but a great car nonetheless. I plan to do a pro touring restoration on my baby with an LSx, upgraded front and rear suspensions and a custom interior. So now, my first question. If you look at the illustration in my album, I need some sheet metal that I have not been able to find, it is Item # 24. Any ideas?

If you are going Pro touring do you plan on building a support structure? These car are very sloppy from the factory. Even when new GM engineers refused marketing request to build the Convertible Z28 because they said the stiffer suspension was a waste and could even damage the car. You can spend thousands upgrading the suspension and still not improve the race handling. The car will feel more responsive but the reality check is when you hit a corner hard and one of the tires leaves the ground from stress what type of sway bar you have is no longer a factor.

#24 is the "Wheel House Panel" and includes numbers 15,23,25,27 and 28. As far as the sloppiness, I agree! I am planning on installing a structural roll bar. I have been talking to some folks and they have designs that integrate the roll bar in to the front subframe and then tie it in to the rear.

Camaro 69 is correct. It is the last pic in the bunch and here are the part numbers that correspond.

I contacted Dynacorn and they admitted that they reproduce the metal for the complete bodies, but have not obtained the licensing (paid the fee) to GM to make these. I suspect they will not since the demand is low. So, I was hoping to trip someone here that may have fabricated these panels.
