Default Heater core replacement

The core is leaking on my 68 RS with Fact A/C. How ugly is this job and any step by step advice or suggestions.

I also have a squeaky fan, so that's an issue as well.

Thanks

Do you drive the car in a climate that requires you to use the heat? I bypassed and removed my core since it's a summer only car.

Default Heater core

I'd rather have it as I go out of town to many shows and it keeps the wife happy which is reason enough.

Any links on changing this core out? Should I do the fan at the same time or are they not related to the same job.

Thanks

i am not sure, but i think the fender has to come off to gain access to the heater box that houses the core

I think this is right. You need to take the fender off to change the motor.

I have just completed my heater replacement on my 69,

Just undo the 5 nuts on the engine bay side along with heater hoses and the rest was done under the dash

remove the glove box remove the console disconnect the 3 heater box control wires and then remove the internal heater box
