Default GRRR Damn Wiper

I bought a new wiper motor. i connected it and it ran once then stopped, I took the motor out and turned it by hand, when i did that i notices that the motor has to land in a specific place for it to continue working. if i nudge it with power and gets out of its sweet spot then it stops working.

so i aligned it to were it works, then pluged it directly to a 12 volt and it worked. The problem is that every time i put it back into the car, it turns once then does not work again unless i take it out and manually put it back to one of the positions it likes. Then i put it back, and same thing turns once and thats it.

What am i doing wrong???

Thanks
Rick

Bad ground on the car perhaps? Try hooking up a separate ground wire from the motor directly to the battery and see if it works.

I think your right, it seems that the blue wire is supposed to ground from the switch to the dash. if i connect the blue wire directly to the dash it runs, i guess i need a new switch.
