Default Got rid of some of that fender gap! (lots of pics included)

While my Dad has been taking care of my '67 he has been doing some work on it too. He took off the shackle extensions that a previous owner had installed and the back sits much nicer. And before anyone ask, I have no idea why someone put a '68 grille on it. I'm ordering a '67 grille and parking lights for it within the next week or so. But here are some more pics of it. Sorry some of the pics are blurry. Enjoy!

Looks nice. Chances are a previous owner replaced the whole front clip from one off a 68. Your front fenders are 1968 style (has marker lights), 67's don't have them.

Looks good!

Over all, the car looks really great! I hope you don't think I'm nit picking, but you have the same problem with your hood that I do in the exact same spot. (You know what I'm talking about lol) I can't get that to come down, and I've even raised the fender, and mine is way worse than yours.

I've played with it for about an hour, and mine isn't nearly as close as yours... Too bad you weren't in the area or we could get together and have a hood alignment party lol!

Really though, over all your car looks great!

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. There are a few things here and there that can be improved upon, but it gives me (or in this case, my Dad) something to do until I get home.

Outside of the whole 68 thing...I keep looking at the pictures and for the life of me cannot figure out the rear set-up. What's the profile, offset and wheel size...are those 18's?

Because of the pic angles and the black paint it's hard to tell but your hood alignment is one of 2 things or both. The key is the hinge plate front bolt positions. Either your passenger side hinge isn't high enough or your drivers side is too high.

Try this for your hood, passenger side hood hinge..loosen the back bolt a little, loosen the front bolt, rest the hood on your head, lift the front of the hood hinge plate up, then tighten the hinge bolts. This should pull your passenger side down.

If it's already as high as it can go, then repeat the procedure on the drivers side and lower it a tad. It would be easier to tell if the pics showed the back corners of the hood and how they are aligned with fender.

Yes they are 18's. 275/40/18 tires in the back. I didnt like the wheels when I first got it, but they are growing on me. I will probably still swap them for a polished set of wheels in the future, but they will do for now.

You mean that had more of a gap before? WOW!! When I started looking at the pics, I figured those were the befores. Car still looks real good, but it sits like a four wheel drive truck
