Don't know if I'm too late to reply (just joined tonight), but I replaced my 68 dash with the dash cluster from Covan. I got the mechanical guage set and had no problem installing it. The temp gauge sensor screwed into the manifold next to the thermostat housing and the oil pressure sending tube screwed into a fitting on the back of the manifold behind the distributor.

thinking about the same gauges. did you ever get them. pretty simple install?

Those, or similar, will be going in my 69 in about 2 years when I get to that point in the project. Year1 has a bunch for sale as well, different finishes for the dash and different gauges to put in as well. Too many choices to decide...

BTW I have original 69 gauge pod and gauges if anyone is interested.

I changed out all my gauges and added some to the console.Also fit the shift light where the clock would have been here are some pic's Name:  mar31123.jpg
