Default Garage Find: 68 RS Convertible

A co-worker of my wife told her she had her Mother's camaro in storage for the last umpteen years (one owner) and would love to get it out and running.
I wasn't expecting much, but indeed it was a RS convertible, 327 2 barrel automatic, butternut yellow with black interior and a white top. I checked the oil,
maybe a quart down, but not gummy or smelly. Pulled a plug, again nothing scary. Battery is dead of course, and I did notice that the brakes went right to the floor.
I gave them a few pumps but did not notice any change. The owner is a single mom and won't be able to invest in a redo, but who knows; maybe a battery, some
new fuel and new oil, new plugs, possible points and some starting fluid -- it has been covered for all these years.

Any thoughts/insights on getting her running? Located in Orlando FL.

I have no idea what a Umpteen is but assuming that is 20 ish years. Assuming you want to drive the car on the road and not kill anyone:
All soft parts of the braking system will need replaced,

Master cylinder
all wheel cylinders
All rubber hoses
depending on the condition of the steel line if they are rusted.
If the wheel cylinders leaked on the brake shoes they should be replaced.

Other things that should happen if you don't want it to die on you..
Fuel system,
Tanks should be cleans or replaced if the car was stored without stable or completely run out of gas.
All rubber fuel line should be replaced.
Carb will need rebuilt
fuel pump replaced. Hopefully the original one will work long enough to help flush the metal line.
Coolant hoses
Plugs could be ok cap rotor and wires should be replace
All fluids in the car.
Tire may look fine but they are dry rotted and should be replaced.

Don't be surprise if after all that she leaks oil like crazy

Many of the electrical switch's may not work but these are old school switchs, try switching them on/off a lot before ordering new. Sometimes the internal contacts just get dirty.

I would add to Gorns post to oil up the cylinders real good and spin the motor around a few times after she sits with oil overnight to lube and unstick the rings.

Definitely would have someone redo the brakes before putting it on the streets, not my expertise.

First will be trying to get it started; thanks for the input, will oil up the cylinders and let that work, then turn by hand to see if there are any big issues.
New oil, new plugs, new battery, drain the gas. Once we have fresh spark, fresh fuel, known compression and some cranking power we can see
what's what. Definitely a fire extinguisher on hand though.
