while there is nothing wrong with having all 4 tires the same size, 225/70-15 is not a "huge" tire for front if backs are the same.

I have 225/60-14 front and 245/60-14 rear. have bigger tires in rear is not uncommon

I think you probably need to run 60s on the front like SoCal,the 70s are likely too tall.

I keep repeating, even in this forum: “Beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder”. I bought Ricky in early 80’s looking like this:

Now he is nearing completion on the restoration (I’ve even driven him around Centralia for an hour, and has 250 miles on him to date), and while I replaced these tires with Cooper Cobras, I stayed the same size, mainly because I love my wheels. So, on the front are 215/70R14’s, and on the rear are 245/60R15’s and I have never questioned them, just drove the car with a grin, pleased as punch.

I have similar scrubbing issues with my front tires. They are currently 15x235/60 BF Goodrich's which makes them 9.25" wide and 26.1" tall. I'm planning on replacing them with 15x205/60 which will reduce the width to 8.07" wide and hight to 24.68" tall. I'm hoping that will give me enough room while still being fairly wide and a decent sidewall height. I don't think there is an easy way to know what works without some trial and error. It really helps having you guys share your wheel sizes so thanks for posting the question!

This is with the current 15x235/60's
