Default Front Bumper Driving Lights

Hi All,

Quick question... I recently purchased a '69 RS, and discovered that the driving lights on the lower front bumper were not connected to anything... Where should they be connected? Do they turn on with the head lights? or just the running lights?

Thanks!

If you have driving lights mounted on the front bumper, then those were aftermarket added on, they aren't factory lights. They would have been wired with a toggle switch somewhere by a previous owner.

Are you talking about the park/turn signals in the lower valance below the bumper. By looking at the pic in your sig, I don't see any driving lights. If so, then look around the headlight harnes for loose wires tucked away or taped up.

Yes, I am talking about the lights below the bumper. I do not have any added on extra or after market lights. So, they are supposed to turn on when the headlights are turned on then? also blink with the turn signals?

Yes, those are your front running lights and turn signals. They should turn on with both positions of the headlight switch. There should be a wiring pigtail on the back of the light housings, with a plug on the end. The wires pass through the flat area of the inner fender on the engine side of the radiator core support, and plug into the main wiring harness near that point.

Make sure you put some yellow bulbs in there.

Mcmcmahon is right. Those should be clear lenses with amber bulbs. 1157 bulbs act as your running lights and turn signals. Got to have those to drive! Good luck!

Not being a smart a** but they are actually 1157A bulbs. "A" for amber, just incase you didn't know.
