Default Fog light problem 69 z28

Hello, my dad has an original 1969 z28 camaro and we are having a problem with the left front fog light. The left fog light does not turn on unless it is blinking as the turn signal. The Right fog light is working. I have even tried switching bulbs and it doesnt change anything.

This is strange to us, because, if it was a problem with the switch, why would the right fog still work? Also, why would it only work when the blinker is engaged?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I have tried jiggling the wires, but it does change anything

I already responded to you under the Z/28 section, but think it will be seen more here:
Well, for starters, those ARE NOT fog lights. They are running/turn signal lights, and they have double filament bulbs (2 separate circuits). One filament goes on with the headlights, and the other is the turn signal. Since you seem to have ruled out the bulb, your problem is either a bad socket (broken/corroded), a broken feed wire, or even a bad ground. My money's on a bad wire or socket. You need to dig more.

Thanks for the reply. Right, the bulb is not the problem, because it works in the other side. If its a bad socket, wouldn't the turn signal not work either?

Not necessarily. As I said, those are double-filament bulbs. Each one is powered by a different wire, and they're doing different things There are TWO tabs down inside the socket, check to make sure one of the tabs isn't broken off. They should be a dull-lead color. If they look corroded, scrape them clean, and the whole inner socket while you're at it until they shine. Do you have a test light or meter? If so, touch the positive prong to one of the tabs and the negative to the inner side casing of the socket. Anything? If it's still dead, start hunting down your wires upstream from the socket.

Thanks for your replies.

We just found the problem. The problem is the connector that the wires lead to.

Another thing tho, all of the lights flicker when the engine is running. I cleaned the ground wire from the battery, but it didn't help. Any suggestions? We think it might just be a bad alternator.
