Default De-Coding my VIN

I just bought a '67 Camaro SS 396. I am told it's an L78 but I want to de-code the VIN to be sure. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

The VIN tells whether it's an 8 cylinder or 6 cylinder car, the model year, and where it was built, that's it.
The trim tag is what you want to decode, as well as looking up the suffix code on the block.
