Coolant overflow bottle
Hi
did 68 Camaro with 327 come with a factory coolant overflow bottle ? I am looking to install one and wondering if anyone has any recommendations Thank you |
No it did not but one can be fitted easy enough,they say a 1970's Nova fits nicely and looks factory.

75 Nova tank. Fits in PS fender. Just drill one hole in fender lip
Its a "coolant recovery" tank (read different from overflow). Like modern cooling system you fill radiator to top and put a few inches of coolant in tank. Engine/coolant heats up (exspands) and will go into tank. When engine cools it draws coolant back into radiator. You need a "closed system" cap. Thanks for that info! Wasn't able to find them online at autozone or oreilly's but will hit up the Napa guys to see if they have good digits on them.. did find these on ebay that look to be that style.
