I came across an original console with gauges for my consoleless 69 with 4 speed. Does anyone have the proper dimensions for mounting the console? When I have it in the most forward position so my reverse doesn't hit the frame it seems to far forward. I am about 6'2" and I can't really see the ALT guage much at all. Not that it really matters but doesn't look right. Was this normal for the consoles? I guess though it is going to have to work if I want to get it into reverse without notching up the chorme ring around the shifter tunnel.
