Default Console Question

Hello everyone brief introduction. I just purchased a 68 convertible with a 396 4 speed. It was born with a 6 cylinder and auto but in 1975 was changed to the current set up using a 1968 motor trans and 12 bolt rear. The crazy thing is the car has 7,000 original miles with full documentation to back it up. I will post pics when I can.
Now to my first of many questions. There is a original console in the car but one without gauges. Can I buy the gauge package and attach them to that console or do I have to purchase the entire console and gauge set up?
Thanks
Mike

You can add the gauge pkg to existing console as panel is screwed in place.
Link does not work, but ensure you get harness to go with it.

IDK why the Ricks Camaro link does not work. Most suppliers should have them (NPD, Classic, etc)

for Rick's the part # is 33-187518-1

And aside from the correct dash harness, you'll be running an oil pressure line thru the firewall and need the line + fittings for that. Was looking into this (adding the console gauge pack) myself
