I just started to have a problem with the clutch. The clutch pedal started to squeak recently when I would engage it. All of a sudden today my clutch pedal will drop almost to the floor. It’s stiff as a rock and won’t engage. I can start the car in neutral but if I push the pedal all the way it will want to grind the gear. I have a 1968 Camaro with a Tremec 5 Speed. It’s a mechanical clutch with a z-bar. I checked all of the rods and nothing it bent. I’m lost....

 

Sounds like a pressure plate failure.
