I recorded it once, seemed like all commercials, i.e. "we bolted on this part from Joe, Inc., then we bolted on this part from Fred, Inc...." Have they gotten into an actual tech-show mode?

It depends on the show. I have seen show where almost 100% of the work was custom. And I seen shows where classic industies just backed a truck up and they pulled an all new body out (that is what they are doing to the Camaro) But they did do two shows as they tried to save the orginal body.

I liked seeing all the bodymen commenting on how solid the car was in show one and then seeing their reaction after it came back from media blast,, And then again when they realize some had put decent patch panel over trashed quarter. They went from just some pin holes in the floor to not worth fixing in two shows LOL. It really shows how scary buying a car can be. 5 guys, all car guys and body men miss the fact their project car was not salvagable. They even said anything can be fixed but 300 hours at $75/hour it was cheaper of buy new.

I think they get into more detail then most of the other shows since they only do 2 cars per season.
